The Boys are Back
The New season of Entourage has begun with a bang. With a new agent, Amanda, in hand Vince is ready to get back to work. All four of the guys are really enjoying Amanda’s style of business over the way things were with Ari. Amanda actually has Vince reading scripts this year which was a big surprise to many viewers. Not only is he reading them but he reads the whole thing and is enthusiastic about it. Is there a new Vince on the rise? He has Eric shocked by his attitude which is very obvious by the look on his face when Vince said he read the entire script.
Just when it looks like things are looking up for the group, they run into Ari at the Lakers game, a birthday gift from Amanda. Ari decides to call Vince to meet up and he agrees to go to lunch with Ari. Drama wouldn’t let him go to dinner. At the awkward lunch Ari is invited to Vince’s birth bash and Ari gives him the
Medellin script, Vince’s dream role. The whole group is shocked by this and wonders why he would give it to him since the part has been taking. It is very obvious that Ari is trying to be the conniving sleaze ball he has always been and they think he could be messing with their heads in order to lure them back. Ari will go to great lengths to get Vince back.
The biggest surprise of the show however came when they showed up at Vince’s birthday party. Turtle was well over the budget that Eric had given him but did a little creative work to make this a blow out. He had a liquor company, ice cream company, and Victoria Secret sponsor the bash. They had it on the Queen Mary and everyone in
Hollywood showed, including Ari and Amanda. Their confrontation in front of Vince showed Ari’s true nature and how he would embarrass himself in order to win, and he may have one. The episode ends with Vince saying that he wants to hold off on Amanda’s script in case
Medellin.
I don’t believe Vince is truly happy without Ari as his agent. In some sick way Ari has manipulated him to believing he is the only agent who can get Vince the roles he wants. They are like couple of several years who have broken up and saw each other for the first time. It’s terrible but it makes for great TV. This season should be pretty interesting and I have a feeling there will be more great battles between Ari and Amanda. Drama’s new pilot should provide us with many great moments with his quirky ways. All in all its going to be a great season with tons of entertainment.

Ari (Jeremy Piven) do you believe him to play the same character in every show including films?
For example PCU the cult hit movie, was his breakout movie in my opinion, but it seems he is pretty one dimensional. I love him as Ari, but I wonder if maybe he could expand his character a little more in different roles.
Ari is perfect for Entourage.
